AMFI Training Module
Independent Financial Advisers need to guide their clients
on various investment avenues that are appropriate for fulfilling
their clientele's long-term and short-term financial objectives.
In a competitive environment, advisers have to update their services
beyond offering traditional investment products such as Life Insurance and Postal Savings.

According to the SEBI circular MFD/CIR No.10/310/01 dated September 25, 2001, it is mandatory
for all distributors and agents of mutual funds to pass the AMFI certification examination and
to follow the provisions of SEBI (Mutual funds) Regulations and Guidelines.
Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) launched the certification programme in association with NSE's Certification in
Financial Markets (NCFM) in July 2000 and subsequently SEBI made AMFI Certification compulsory for all distributors and agents.
